Goal
WHERE ARE YOU?
Last week we talked about WHO you are…but this week, I wonder if you can actually identify WHERE you are? I’m not speaking of a physical location, rather a mental and emotional location. Are you in a happy place? Are you in turmoil? Maybe you are somewhere in the middle of those two…but where exactly are you right now? The goal here is not to be HAPPY…but to know and understand where you are so you can begin to move intentionally. It’s okay to even be in a horrible spot, but let’s name it and start MOVING. We can’t stay in bad places.
Identify
In your journal, write your mental and emotional location. Write about why you are there, what has contributed to this place?
When you are done writing about your actual location, start a new paragraph and talk about where you WANT TO BE. Are you close to it? What would get you there. If you are already there, what will you do with this space next?
Lastly, take a moment to look around you and acknowledge three things that is going very well for you right now. Write those down and give just a little bit of thanks for each of them. You can do as many as you like, but we always want to remember that even if things aren’t going that well, THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT ARE DOING JUST FINE!
Remember, you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
