Christyan and Jayden holding hands, July 19, 2009

Yes, Renegade Soul is personal training. But maybe what you don’t know is that Renegade Soul was born out of needing to help women (mainly black women) understand how to properly care for their hearts, souls, and body to maintain healthy stress levels to help them achieve positive pregnancy outcomes for themselves and their daughters.

If you can change your stress levels now…even if you are outside of your child bearing years…you can also affect your next generation who is watching you. Generational Health Wealth is real.

Christyan and Jayden, July 19, 2009

If I had known then, what I know now…

Meet Christyan Ronald and Jayden Samuel. My twins born July 17, and July 18, 2009 respectively. They were born at 21.6 weeks gestation and had no chance of surviving. Their lungs were simply not developed enough. So instead of coming home with a set of twins, I entered the ranks of Infant Mortality statistics. I also entered a dark grief period of life.

Renegade Soul is committed to changing our perceptions of overall health as women, as black women, as women leaders, as women wives. From the right way to deal with stress to how we should eat for nutrition rather than for pleasure. Our worth is not defined by societal views. Our worth is defined by the amount of inner peace we can achieve by being comfortable in our every single truth.

Sam and her husband Ron had the absolute honor to tell their story of infant loss to the below documentary called One Life that documents the infant mortality crisis in Cuyahoga County (the county that Cleveland, Ohio is in).
