Goal
WHO ARE YOU?
My favorite quote is “set a goal so big that you can’t achieve it until you grow into the person who can” - I do not know the author but I love it so much I put it over Kobe’s face as inspiration. It originally came to me on Will Smith’s face.
So what is your goal? And WHO is it that you need to be to achieve that?
Examples: For my goals, I know for a fact that I need to become fiscally responsible, be able to delegate and lead, communicate effectively, trusting of others of carry our, bolder and braver…most of these things I am NOT. Or not very consistent with these traits. So I focus my energies and resources on BECOMING.
Identify
In your journal, write down your Big Audacious Goal (BAG)! It better be BIG too!
Next, start writing out the type of person who would have this goal already accomplished. Does this person have degrees? etc… Think OUTSIDE OF YOURSELF. Pretend someone else has this already and write about them.
Then, look over this list of attributes and determine which you have already. How can you multiply them? Are there trainings you can attend soon? Which attributes do you feel you simply do not have? Can you develop them? Can you hire someone who can handle something directly related to that attribute to assist? (like an assistant because I am not organized, or a PR person because social media sucks or something)
Lastly, write a two paragraph note to self: Tell yourself how you will become this person and why. Commit to working every single day at BECOMING.
