Assignment begins below. Please take the course of your week to complete. If it takes you longer, that is okay. Be patient with yourself as you thoughtfully think through it all.
Goal
You feel as if you’ve been left in a dark place, abandoned and left for dead…when in fact, YOU’VE BEEN PLANTED.
(Don’t worry, I can’t see you, I was talking to myself!)
Within any and all journeys will come hard times and dark places. I was reminded this week though, that seeds are always planted alone and covered in soil in dark places. The mightiest of trees with the strongest of roots begin as a single seed planted and covered in the darkest places possible only to BLOOM into Earths very survival fruit.
Write this goal down: I will take this time to grow so that I am ready to bloom.
Identify
maybe this isn’t where you are RIGHT NOW. Maybe it is. Either way, grab your journal and write about this dark place. Where are you? What’s different? Is the darkness welcoming you? Or is it only scary? Could you tell the difference if you tried? Is this darkness a place you can actually explore? Is it inviting you to creativity? Write it all out.
Then add what you can do in this time that creates just a small glimmer of light. I heard a meditation say “with only your breath as your companion, walk into this unknown space…” and that statement alone has changed my perspective on dark places.
Affirmation
Dark places are growth places. I know I am safe. He will never leave me nor forsake me.
