Goal
A mind state of gratitude and expectancy:
We talked about gratefulness a few weeks ago (week 31) and how important it is in lifestyle work whether it be career, fitness, family or whatever. Today, let’s couple that with an attitude of expectancy. Hebrews 4:16 says “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (NIV). This means that living with an attitude of expectancy is okay because God has TOLD us to be confident when we approach Him. (Don’t worry, I’m only talking to myself here)
This week, the goal is to approach each day with gratitude and a boldness that only God’s children can.
Identify
In your journal, create a NEW LIST of gratitude. What are you thankful for TODAY? On the next page, create a list of things you are BOLDLY, CONFIDENTLY, AND EXPECTANTLY asking God to do in your lifestyle change today.
Then, when you are done with those list, write out a prayer combining the lists. Be sure to include God’s words to us in your prayer “for YOU said that we should approach you…”
For the rest of the week, walk BOLDLY knowing that it is all done.
