Assignment begins below. Please take the course of your week to complete. If it takes you longer, that is okay. Be patient with yourself as you thoughtfully think through it all.
Goal
Let’s return to some basics…
Are you a morning person? Do you wake up when you first hear that alarm go off? Or are you the one that hits the snooze button until you are late? Are you hectic in the morning? Or calm and collected…moving about slowly and methodically?
Here’s something i’ve heard over and over…you probably have too: If you wake up an hour early each day, set your intentions for the week/day, have some calm prayer time before your day begins, you will reach your goals quicker and easier.
It’s true.
When I wake up early (which is now every day), and I look at my numbers and start studying them and making goals based on what I see, i’m more in tuned with what I have to do next. My short term goals are more attainable which feeds directly into my long term goals.
What time you wake up? Can you wake up 30-60 minutes earlier this week and give it a try? At the sound of the alarm, get right up and hit the floor with your feet. Go to the bathroom. Sit at your table with your tea or coffee and your journal/notebook. Look at your numbers…and then start setting your goals and intention for the week and the the day you are in.
Identify
What did you write down as your intention FOR THE DAY? Re-write it on a new line and then begin listing how your day will look to accomplish that. Example: I want to get 1 new client today so I will send 5 personal text messages each hour until I have that 1 new client.
Affirmation
I AM A MORNING PERSON.
No…seriously…write that down! You are EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE! It is a proven fact that if you insist that you are not a morning person, you will always be late. It is psychology. So this week, we declare that we are morning people.
“I wake up excited about my goals and ready to achieve them.” Repeat the message. Write it everywhere.
