Assignment begins below. Please take the course of your week to complete. If it takes you longer, that is okay. Be patient with yourself as you thoughtfully think through it all.
Goal
Whew! Did you finish your vision board last week? If you are anything like me, the answer is NOOOO! But that is mostly because I’m never really finished with it. I add to all constantly. If this is you, let that be okay. Put a sticky note book marker on the week to remind you where it is so you can always go back. If you wish, you can add to it every week or every month.
For now, think about what is on there now. What is your constant? What is the one goal that never changed over the course of your life, last few months, last few weeks? If you need to, look back to week the early weeks of this program.
Think about WHY your goals change from time to time. Is it a function of not being sure about them in the first place? Or are we wrapped up in imposter syndrome (week 11) again making us change our minds about what is accomplishable. I was talking to a friend of mine recently and she said something quite amazing. She said we treat our goals like a plate of spaghetti that we don’t really want to eat. We move it around the plate, shifting and sloshing…all because we are afraid to MOVE on it.
What are we afraid of?
Success?
That we are who we said we are? (affirmations, week 11)
That the vision we were given REALLY WAS MEANT FOR US?
Let’s eat the spaghetti. Let’s not let it get cold on us. Stop sloshing, start twirling it onto the fork and eat. I mean…it’s literally one bite at a time.
Identify
List time! Identify the constant goal. Make 2 lists with it: 1. list the reasons this goal is the constant. (you can look at previous lists involving this goal as well and include some of that) 2. what needs to happen to start EATING that goal rather than sloshing it around the plate.
Affirmation
I AM STILL A GOAL DIGGER. I’m never giving up on my dreams, my goals, and myself. I will push through because my very legacy depends on it.
Please take 15 minutes or more to meditate on the things we’ve discussed this week. This is so important. GROUND yourself into the idea of moving from sloshing spaghetti around to EATING bite by bite and accomplishing your dreams. When you drift, bring yourself back. Repeat if you have to.
You are amazing. You are exactly who you declare to be…
