In your journal on the first few pages, spend time writing what your overall goal is AND WHY. Really think about this. Write down every detail! Back it up with examples from your past. Start from your earliest memory. Here are several journal prompts to get you started:

Identify

IMPORTANT: SKIP A FEW PAGES BEFORE STARTING THIS NEXT ASSIGNMENT!!! (leave room to add the things you just couldn’t think of in the moment!

Next journal entry: Identify ONE bad lifestyle habit you have. Write it down. Underneath, tell yourself why you do this, how it makes you feel when you do this, what makes this a BAD habit, and when did you start this. DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP. But do be honest with yourself.

Example: “I drink alcohol whenever I’m sad…which is every night.” (go on from there)

Write a letter to yourself to let you know how much you appreciate yourself. List all of the things you love about yourself. Brag about your accomplishments to yourself. Love on yourself more than anybody ever has in your entire life. Oh yeah…MAKE THIS SHIT GOOD AND LONG!

Remember that your thoughts are you talking to you. Remember that you can hear yourself every single time you utter any thought in that head of yours! So now is the time you start speaking to yourself in a kind way. Nobody can love you the way you can…
